JOB DESCRIPTIONFleet Management OfficerRole summary: Working with the Operations Manager and the Fleet Management Assistant the Fleet Management Officer will be responsible for the security of vehicle fleet, provide technical input in the development of IDI fleet managementpolicy, guidelines and standard operating procedures, maintain fleet database, maintain fleet maintenance database, reconcile fuel consumption and provide technical advise to management on issues relating to fleet.Responsibilities:Provide technical input in the development of IDI fleet management policy, guidelines and Standard Operating ProceduresPut in place measures to ensure the safety of vehicles and their accessoriesParticipate in the new Drivers’ selection and training processMaintain a centralized fleet maintenance database, fuel usage and accountabilitiesAssist in maintaining a record of fleet movementsMake regular checks on Drivers’ permits, vehicle insurance and other vehicle requirementsMake arrangements for vehicles to be licensed as required bylawProvide support supervision to the Fleet management assistantArrange for the provision of logistical support to driversProcess requests for repair and service worksTraffic laws and rulesKnowledge of highway codeComputer KnowledgeVehicle MechanicsSupervisory skillsInterpersonal relationsBasic report making skillsDevelop a fuel consumption log system that can fully reconcile with mileage travelled in line with the manufacturer’s driving recommendationsReview fuel consumption for hired vehicles and special hire transport requestsReview submitted quotations from approved garages for repairs and service works against a mechanical backgroundAppraise fleet management assistant and driversProvide technical advice to management on issues relating to fleet control, maintenance and efficiency.Prepare periodic reports on the transport function and submit them to the Operations ManagerAnd any other duties as may reasonably be assigned.Special Knowledge and Key SkillsMaintenance Management skillsOther Qualities/AttributesCourtesyPatienceRespectIntegrityAudit AssistantSummary:Performs audits in accordance with the audit work plan and any other assignments by the supervisors.Principal Accountabilities:Assist with establishing the objectives, scope, and methodology of the audit and developing audit programs.Perform research to obtain back ground information for the audit.Perform cash counts, physical inventories, or other audit procedures as needed to meet the audit objectives.Verify project asset registers and ensure that registers are currentVerify the physical performance of field activitiesCreate work papers to document the audit work performed and support the audit report.Document audit results and highlight points for Supervisor’s attentionDevelop audit recommendations to assist Management with improving operations and internal control systems.Perform follow up procedures to assess the adequacy of Management’s implementation of the recommended actions.Communicate the status of work to your Supervisor on a regular basis.Perform any other duties as may be reasonably assigned. Qualifications:The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable University preferably in Business Administration or Commerce (Accounting). Studying to gain a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ACA would be an added advantageMinimum experience and exposure:At least one year of experience in a reputable audit firm. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:Knowledge of audit procedures and requirementsKnowledge of computerized accounting- preferably Navision.Knowledge of donor accountability requirements Ability to:Accurately compile data and analyze informationUse professional judgment and skepticism to conduct work.Comprehend and interpret policies, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelinesEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and those you auditWork both independently and as a team member.Operate standard office equipment and personal computers using spreadsheets and processing applications.Perform trips to our project sites up country.Skills:Effective report writing and verbal skills.Good Interpersonal skills and team spirit
