Good Neighbors International - Uganda:

This is an international
humanitarian and development Non Governmental Organization in General
Consultative status with the (UN COESOC) United Nations Economic and Social
Council, and one of the largest in South Korea. Established in 1991, the
organization currently conducts missions around the world to improve quality of
life and education standards, as well as to provide aid in areas of civil
unrest or natural disaster.

Currently, we operate
projects in more than 26 field countries, with more than 120 project sites in
third world countries, 26 project sites in North Korea, and over 40 field
offices consisting of 70 project sites in South Korea, and with USA, Japan, and
Switzerland as supporting countries.

In Uganda, Good
Neighbors is still at its initial stages of project implementation and is
currently vigorously carrying out a number of assessments to establish
potential beneficiaries of its programs. Therefore, Good Neighbors Uganda
Country office is looking for a very dynamic, highly motivated and qualified
candidate for the position of Sponsorship Service Department Officer.

Duties and
Responsibilities: 

1. 
Take
charge of all organization sponsored projects and consecutively report on all
operations involved in the projects as well.

2. 
Arranges
all relevant community meetings related to the particular projects.

3. 
Able
to travel to foreign countries to attend official conferences and seminars

4. 
Briefs
the country director/partners/ members about necessary activities in the
department

5. 
Coordinates
the activities related to sponsorship and service

6. 
Performs
typing and transcription duties as required

7. 
Helps
Partner/Manager/Director with planning

8. 
Establishes
procedures that implement the standards of the organization

9. 
Interprets
policies and procedures as established by management

10. 
Compiles
data based on research techniques and on statistical compilations involving an
understanding of operating unit programs, policies, and procedures

11. 
Preparing
a daily report, weekly plan and monthly plan of work done and expected to be
done.

12. 
Multi-tasks
all in several activities and able to work under intensive pressure.

Good
interpersonal skills, able to get along with many kinds of personalities

2.   Ability to accurately deal with difficult and
complex researched data and handwritten comments.

3.  Ability to accurately and effectively manage
aggressive deadlines and timelines.

4.  Very detailed oriented

5.  Self-Sufficient, requiring minimal supervision –
able to work independently, with good judgment

6.  Knowledge of office equipment
printers/fax/scanners

7.  Strong verbal and writing skills

8.  Strong organizational skills

9.  Ability to maintain confidentiality

10.  Dependable, Excellent attendance

11.   Proficient
in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel and power-point), This skill is HIGHLY
REQUIRED!!!!

 

Minimum
Qualifications and experience: 

v  The applicant for this job opportunity must hold a bachelor’s degree in a
Business related/ project planning, social works and social administration.

v  He/she should hold at least more than two years of relevant experience in
Child management, project planning, sponsorship and service, monitoring and
evaluation.

v  Working knowledge and experience with a range of design tools and
assessment techniques, including ability to develop effective systems for data
collection is an added advantage.

v  Cross –cultural sensitivity, flexible worldviews and emotional maturity

v  Commitment to Good Neighbors International code of conducts and core
values.
